PTFE Rod

Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), also known as Teflon, is made from four ingredients: fluorspar, hydrofluoric acid, chloroform and water, which are combined in a chemical reaction chamber heated to 590 to 900°C (1094 to 1652°F). Teflon coating is commonly used in the manufacture of many household products. Teflon-coated pans are common in most people's kitchens. PTFE Square Rod does not swell due to moisture absorption. PTFE is not prone to explosive decompression and has excellent electrical properties, dielectric strength and electrical resistivity. It is the lowest coefficient of any solid. It has excellent chemical resistance, is unaffected by most chemicals and has a very high oxygen index (meaning it is inherently non-flammable).

PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) non-stick coating can be used continuously at 260°C, with a maximum operating temperature of 290-300°C, extremely low coefficient of friction, good wear resistance and excellent chemical stability. PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) is a low-friction fluoropolymer with excellent chemical and weather resistance. Because Extrusion PTFE Rod has a high coefficient of thermal expansion and low thermal conductivity, it can exhibit relatively high thermal expansion. When the part is heated at the high end of the 77°F/25°C temperature range to 392°F/200°C, the PTFE component will grow approximately 24mm larger than the corresponding metal part. Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) is a fully fluorinated polymer that is white, semi-transparent, and semi-crystalline.
